DALLAS-Alcatel and Evolving Systems Inc. signed a value-added reseller agreement to offer North American telecommunications service providers a solution supporting local and wireless local number portability using Alcatel’s 5070 Signaling Server Global and Evolving Systems’ NumberManagement Local Service Management System.
The companies said the single, turnkey solution uses open standards for the interface, and customers can choose to use Alcatel as a single point of contact for sales and support.
“We expect this proven and integrated solution will have very broad market appeal for North American wireline, wireless and [Voice over Internet Protocol] service providers,” said Stephen Gartside, president and chief executive officer of Evolving Systems. “By working together, Alcatel and Evolving Systems offer carriers a single-source solution that not only addresses their network needs but streamlines and simplifies the purchasing process.”
