BASINGSTOKE, United Kingdom-Motorola Inc. unveiled six new clamshell handsets in the hopes of expanding its popularity among wireless users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The new devices are designed to exploit network services such as Vodafone Live, T-Mobile t-zones, O2 Active, Orange World and 3, the manufacturer said Wednesday. Each phone offers video record and playback and Bluetooth technology.
“We have proven that we can deliver, execute and succeed selling 5.4 million branded units in the first half of 2004,” said Amer Husaini, a Motorola vice president. “Moving forward, we are extremely excited to be working with our customers to evolve this market and enable the migration of this growth area from 2.5G to 3G and beyond.”
