BELLEVUE, Wash.-Western Wireless Corp.’s Cellular One subsidiary said it will open more than 40 authorized dealer locations in Kmart retail stores by the end of the year. The kiosk locations are scheduled for 10 states across Cellular One’s western coverage area, including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Texas and Kansas.
“Cellular One selected Kmart because of its highly trafficked retail locations and its brand name recognition within our wireless markets,” said Todd Heiner, vice president of sales at Cellular One. “The new kiosk locations provide not just Cellular One customers, but any consumer in the market for a wireless phone, a convenient way to shop for cellular services.”
Cellular One said it expects to add at least 20 additional locations next year.
