STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson said it will expand its CDMA2000 1x contract with India’s Tata Teleservices in 12 new circles. The Swedish vendor currently provides 1x infrastructure in six Tata circles.
Under the new contract, Ericsson will deploy its AXE-based MSCs, which are used to deliver value-added services such as prepaid and voice mail, to Tata, a “limited mobility” carrier in India.
The value of the agreement was not disclosed.
