SUNNYVALE, Calif.-PalmSource Inc. has elevated Jean-Louis Gassee to the position of chairman of its board of directors. This follows the resignation of the former office holder, Eric Benhamou, Oct. 28.
“He knows our company. He knows our product. He knows our customers. He knows our market, and he has a proven record of successfully building and growing companies,” said David Nagel, chief executive officer of the company.
Gassee, 60, is a general partner with Allegis Capital, a venture capital firm. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Computer Access Technology Corp.
