HELSINKI, Finland-Network security provider Stonesoft Corp. launched its StoneGate Firewall and VPN version 2.5, which the company said addresses security needs of corporate mobile users attempting to access corporate networks using wireless local area networks.

Stonesoft said the software enables information technology administrators to force all mobile Internet traffic attempting to access corporate databases to go through the firewall and eliminates all unencrypted traffic. The software also allows users to connect to the corporate network through a virtual private network without having to individually authenticate in each gateway.
