Bayly Communications Inc. named Fernando Anaya as its sales representative for Latin America. Most recently, Anaya was sales manager for Motorola Inc. in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.

Cranite

Wireless local area network security company Cranite Systems Inc. made two appointments to its executive team. Donald Berry was named vice president of sales and Chad Harrington was named vice president of marketing. Prior to joining Cranite, Berry founded B2Gov, a consulting firm focused on companies entering the government market. He also has held positions with RealNetworks, EDS and Eastman Kodak Co. Harrington will be responsible for marketing the company’s WirelessWall wireless LAN software and for defining future product initiatives. Most recently, Harrington was director of endpoint security products and services at Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.

RF Micro Devices

RF Micro Devices Inc. said Jeffrey R. Gardner, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Alltel Corp., has been elected to the company’s board of directors. The addition of Gardner expands RFMD’s board to nine members.

Leap

Leap Wireless International Inc. appointed Greg Post regional vice president with responsibility for the company’s eastern region for its Cricket Communications Inc. subsidiary. Most recently, Post was vice president of worldwide sales for Infospace Inc.

Motia

Motia Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, named Malcolm Caraballo as its new president and chief executive officer. Caraballo joins the company from Adimos, a fabless semiconductor company focused on providing wireless multimedia solutions for the home.

Padcom

Scott A. Stone has been named chief executive officer of Padcom Inc. Stone previously was chief operating officer at the company. He succeeds Charles F. Cleary in his new position. Prior to joining Padcom last year, Stone was a vice president at Avaya Inc.

GE Commercial Finance

GE Commercial Finance announced Laura Hom has joined its capital markets group as senior vice president. She serves on the group’s structuring team. Prior to joining GE, Hom was executive director of the Leveraged Finance Group, Media & Telecommunications, for CIBC World Markets Corp.

MobileAccess

Steven Dussek has been named chairman of the board at in-building wireless network provider MobileAccess. Most recently, Dussek was chief operating officer at Nextel Communications. He began his career in 1984 at MCI AirSignal, which eventually was purchased by McCaw Cellular Communications.

Mforma

Mforma Group Inc. said Barry Schuler had joined its board of directors. Schuler most recently was chairman and chief executive officer of America Online, where he headed the company’s consumer products efforts. Prior to that he was chief executive officer and founder of Medior Inc., a multimedia design firm that was acquired by AOL in 1995.
