Ericsson teams with Warner on mobile music offering

STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Telefon AB Ericsson will team with Warner Music International to offer polyphonic ringtones, master tones and other mobile content from the label’s artists, the companies announced Wednesday.

Ericsson will deliver the content through M-USE, its mobile music service, in 28 European markets. Ringbacks, logos and autographs will also be included in the offerings.

“Ericsson experiences very high demand for our mobile music service M-USE, and with the addition of the great content and promotion opportunities Warner brings to the table, we expect the demand to increase even further,” said Hans Vestberg, senior vice president of Ericsson’s global services unit.

Content from Warner Music is already being offered through M-USE in Austria and Sweden; the new agreement will expand the service throughout most of Europe.
