BOSTON-Mobile applications developer Interspot released its InterSMS technology, which allows users to create their own short message service mobile marketing campaigns or instantly communicate via text messaging.
“With the introduction of InterSMS we are thrilled to be empowering companies of all sizes to harness the power of mobile marketing and communications and capture some of the billions of dollars of revenue that the market will produce in the coming years,” said T. Barclay Layman, founder and chief executive officer of Interspot. “Short codes and premium SMS two-way messages will soon be part of every marketing director’s vocabulary.”
Among the InterSMS offerings the company has planned is the Spot SMS campaign manager, which allows advertisers to change sponsorship messages, geo-target, frequency cap, change flight dates and view impressions by delivery, region, date, time and by date on-the-fly, said the company.
Interspot also plans to launch a free SMS product called Free TXT early next year that is subsidized by advertiser messages and allows users to view and send unlimited SMS messages.
