BELLEVUE, Wash.-BSquare Corp. introduced a solution for Windows Mobile-based device makers that makes integrating audio peripherals with phone subsystem components easier.
The BSquare Audio Manager is a development framework that reduces complexity of implementing a complete audio solution by re-using code, said the company. The solution manages audio peripherals and synchronizes the audio subsystem with the Radio Interface Layer and operating system profiles, BSquare said.
“BSquare’s Audio Manager makes Windows Mobile devices even smarter than before, so when users plug a headset into a Smartphone or Pocket PC Phone Edition, they have volume level control independent of the handset,” said Carey Butler, vice president of Professional Engineering Services at the company. “Our advanced audio features help OEMs and ODMs differentiate their mobile phones in a highly competitive marketplace.”
