MUNICH-Siemens AG said it has agreed to supply EDGE technology to Oskar Mobil of Czech Republic, making it the vendor’s fifth EDGE contract in Central Europe and 15th in the world. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The carrier said it is ready to upgrade the existing data network from its current GPRS offering.
“Currently, Oskar is intensively testing several EDGE services to understand the user experience and to ensure user friendliness,” said the carrier.
