DALLAS-Wireless data company Thinstream Inc. announced the launch of a new service to bring highly compressed streaming television and radio to mobile users in North America.
Initially, the service will be offered through most major North American carriers to consumers with streaming video-enabled phones or Windows Media-enabled devices. Basic subscriptions will be available for $20 a month and will include programming from CNN, Bloomberg, Fox Sports and The Weather Channel.
The company said programming will be available worldwide via existing non-broadband connections.
