FRAMINGHAM, Mass.-NMS Communications launched a framework that allows carriers to manage subscriber relations, track information from wireless data transactions and target marketing strategies, the mobile technology company said Tuesday.
NMS unveiled Mobile Place, which is designed to allow operators to leverage mobile entertainment content and service delivery platforms to offer a better user experience. NMS hopes carriers use the product to bundle themed wireless data offerings-like ring backs, ringtones, and wallpaper-and create more user-friendly shopping experiences.
“As more advanced mobile services are brought to market, operators need to design, provision and service growing variety of messaging, entertainment and content services across different delivery platforms,” said Mary Ann O’Loughlin, president of consulting firm Ovum North America. “Delivering and tailoring this plethora of available services is a major challenge and is also the main barrier to new revenue growth. New services must be easy to use, personalized and innovative.”
NMS also introduced a line of offerings created to help carriers deliver services like video mail, two-way video conferencing and streaming video. The Vision suite of delivery systems will go to market in the second quarter of 2005.
