JACKSON, Miss.-Rural wireless provider Cellular South said it plans to debut a new television commercial during Super Bowl XXXIX this weekend. The carrier said this was the fifth year it has advertised during the Super Bowl through a local and regional ad buy, and that the commercial will air on Fox Network affiliates in a number of Southeast markets.
Cellular South noted the advertisement-titled “Around Us”-will tout its flat-rate calling plans and feature a series of “dreamy vignettes over a music bed. The imagery ranges from haunting and exquisite to the unsettling and the just plain weird. Together, the scenes create a montage of moments where something happens, be it wondrous or wacky, that strikes a chord within to tell someone.” Cellular South added that the voiceover will conclude, “The world is full of things to talk about. Which is why we give you the freedom to talk about all of them.”
The carrier said the advertising campaign will continue throughout the year in newspapers, outdoor boards, in-store promotions, direct mail and magazines.
