CAMBRIDGE, U.K.-Location-based services company m-spatial said it will announce at 3GSM Congress the deployment of a location-aware platform for Vodafone UK’s wireless data subscribers.
The company will unveil its Spatial Platform, which is available to more than 2 million Vodafone live! customers. The offering is designed to deliver maps and directions in a manner consistent with the carrier’s user interface, eliminating the need for users to access a mapping service on their handset.
“In the past, content and application providers have struggled to ‘spatially enable’ their services,” said m-spatial Chief Executive Officer Andy Walker. “The Spatial Platform now makes it quick and simple for every content and application provider within Vodafone live! to deliver the same optimal user experience to their customers, whatever their mobile phone.”
