SmartVideo subscribers can stay stylish and ogle supermodels with a new 24-hour-a-day channel from the mobile-video provider.
SmartVideo Technologies Inc. said it has agreed to carry Fashion TV, streaming fashion, style and beauty programming to subscribers with smart phones and personal digital assistants. The channel will include profiles of designers and models, hair and makeup tips and lifestyle information from the French satellite TV channel.
“The fashion industry has a very dedicated and enthusiastic following, and we are glad to be bringing access to quality programming from Fashion TV to these fans via their mobile devices,” said Richard E. Bennett Jr., president and chief executive officer of SmartVideo. “Available all over the world, Fashion TV has done a great job building its programming line-up and establishing itself with its viewers, and we are looking forward to working with them.”
SmartVideo is available to subscribers of Cingular Wireless L.L.C., Sprint PCS, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless, and the company said it will soon be offered through other worldwide carriers.
