Driving and dialing legislation considered in many states

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-The Bluetooth Special Interest Group said more than 30 states are considering or have enacted legislation dealing with the use of wireless phones while driving.

Bluetooth technology allows for hands-free wireless calling while driving. The group said several car manufactures offer Bluetooth hands-free systems in their automobiles, including DaimlerChrysler, Honda, Toyota, BMW, Saab, Audi and Volkswagen. And after-market kits are available for almost all car models.
