LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-Alltel Corp. said it will begin a new consumer-centric brand advertising campaign May 1 built around customer satisfaction.
The campaign will highlight new wireless initiatives, including an automatic one-minute credit for any dropped call on the company’s network; the ability for customers to change rate plans at any time without extending their contracts; and free calls from wireless phones to home phones on select plans.
The campaign was developed by Detroit-based Campbell-Ewald and will include TV, print, radio and outdoor advertising.
Alltel is the sixth-largest wireless operator in the country with more than 8 million customers. Alltel is in the process of acquiring Western Wireless Corp., a move that will bolster its customer base to nearly 10 million subscribers and further solidify its position as the industry’s largest regional wireless provider.
