HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-Cingular Wireless announced it is selling the Audiovox SMT 5600 smart phone for $200 with a two-year contract. AT&T Wireless Services Inc. previously sold the phone, and Cingular had said it was working to test the device for its newly combined network.
The high-end device features Microsoft Corp.’s operating system, Bluetooth and an integrated camera phone.
“We are excited to offer the Audiovox SMT 5600 to Cingular Wireless customers who have been waiting for a device that offers the ease and familiarity of Microsoft Windows Mobile software in a convenient and compact fully functional handset,” said David Christopher, vice president of product management for Cingular Wireless.
