HOUSTON-MindWireless, which provides cellular program management and optimization services, said it added a procurement function to its wireless billing management offerings.
The Web-based feature allows companies to track employee purchases of wireless devices at the lowest negotiated rates, said the company. Employees access a single ordering site, select approved products from the carriers their companies have contracted with and indicate the number of minutes they expect to use each month. MindWireless validates orders against the client’s guidelines and selects the best rate plan according to the negotiated contracts. Orders are then automatically forwarded to the wireless vendor for fulfillment, said the company.
The service is available as a standalone product or it can be incorporated into a company’s billing management or outsourced wireless management services.
