PARIS-Alcatel Corp. said it was awarded a new GSM/GPRS mobile network expansion by Hola Paraguay, a 1900 MHz wireless carrier in Paraguay. With this project, the service provider will extend its network and enhance its infrastructure.
The contract covers new base station sub-systems, updated network subsystems and a new microwave system expansion, as well as applications. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
