STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Orange Dominicana has awarded L.M. Ericsson an expansion contract for its GSM/GPRS network in the Dominican Republic.
Ericsson said it is the sole supplier under the agreement, but it did not disclose the contract’s value.
The Swedish vendor said it will provide new switches and expand existing switches in Orange Dominicana’s network. The contract also includes software features for improved speech quality and coverage,
Ericsson said the equipment and services under the contract will be in operation by the third quarter of 2005.
