Amp’d Mobile selects M7, Sennari for content platforms

Mobile virtual network operator Amp’d Mobile Inc., which is set to launch a youth-oriented service using Verizon Wireless’ CDMA2000 1x EV-DO network later this year, selected M7 Networks to create and manage its Games Connect game community using M7’s Application Community Platform.

Amp’d said the Games Connect service will be a virtual community where game players can meet, interact, check scores, rate and review games, and share tips and experiences with other subscribers.

“A mobile community will provide our subscribers with a consistent experience across all publishers’ offerings,” said Seth Cummings, vice president of wireless content and Internet services for Amp’d.

M7 noted the deployment will be the first BREW deployment of its Application Community Platform.

Amp’d also announced it will use Sennari’s Mobile Loyalty and Community Service platform as a loyalty and rewards solution for its subscribers.

The platform will allow Amp’d customers to gain loyalty points based on how much they spend on voice, data and other paid services. Those points can then be used to purchase handset upgrades, mobile-phone accessories, premium mobile content, event tickets in local markets and special sweepstakes giveaways.

Amp’d noted the program will help the company create brand loyalty as well as maintain an ongoing dialog with its customers. Amp’d added that the Sennari MLCS platform will be integrated with the M7 Networks supplied Games Connect game community platform.

Amp’d also reported that mobile entertainment company Moderati, which was formerly known as Faith West, will provide ringtones and wallpaper to its BREW-based downloadable content catalog. Amp’d announced similar content deals last month with 16 mobile content providers.
