BELLEVUE, Wash.-InfoSpace Inc. said it is cooperating with mobile virtual network operator Amp’d Mobile to create a dedicated “Games for Prizes” channel on Amp’d wireless handsets.
Amp’d customers will be able to access InfoSpace’s “For Prizes Network,” which includes tournament mobile games such as Hold’em Poker+ for Prizes, Solitaire for Prizes and Prize-21 for Prizes. Prizes include CDs, DVDs and gift cards.
InfoSpace said more than 2 million multiplayer tournament games are played each month on its network.
Amp’d will offer the games when it launches later this year.
