Three companies announced new funding rounds this week.
SiBEAM Inc., which develops gigabit wireless technology, said it secured $15 million in series A funding from New Enterprise Associates, US Venture Partners and Foundation Capital. The company, which was founded earlier this year, plans to use the funds to expand its technology.
VeriWave Inc., which provides wireless local area network test solutions, announced it closed its series B equity funding led by Woodside Fund, an early-stage venture-capital firm. Also participating in the funding were existing investors US Venture Partners and TL Ventures.
Ashish Gupta, venture partner at Woodside Fund, joined VeriWave’s board of directors in conjunction with the investment.
Funds will be used to support product development and sales and to strengthen operational capabilities for international growth, said the company.
Finally, Meru Networks, which makes enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol mobility infrastructure, said it raised $12 million in series C funding. The company said it has secured total funding of $42.7 million to date.
Leading the funding were BlueStream Ventures, Clearstone Venture Partners and NeoCarta Ventures. Evercore Ventures, BrainHeart Capital, JumpStartUp Venture Fund, Monitor Ventures and Dot Edu Ventures also participated in the round.
