American Tower Corp. announced a call for redemption of $75 million principal amount of its 9.375-percent senior notes due 2009. The redemption date is set for July 21. The notes will be redeemed at a price equal to 104.688 percent of the principal amount, as outlined in the indenture for the senior notes.

Signal processing technology and software-defined radio solutions supplier HelloSoft closed on an oversubscribed $16 million series B financing round led by TD Capital Ventures and new investors Mitsui & Company Venture Partners and Entrepia Ventures. The series B financing also included current investors Venrock Associates, Sofinnova Ventures and Jump Startup. HelloSoft provides solutions for Voice over Internet Protocol, Wi-Fi, cellular and converged markets.
Boston Communications Group Inc. said an independent auditor will reissue its opinion on the company’s 2004 financial statements in the wake of the company’s loss in a $128 million patent infringement suit. BCGI said accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP will reissue its opinion on the company’s 2004 consolidated financial statements with a going concern modification. BCGI suffered a devastating blow in May, when a jury found it had violated a Freedom Wireless patent covering the technology and processes used to provide prepaid service. BCGI is appealing the ruling and working to reach a settlement with Freedom Wireless.
Venture capital firm Prism Venture Partners announced it closed a new fund worth $250 million, dubbed Prism Venture Partners V, L.P. (PVP V), a move that brings the firm’s total capital to $1.25 billion. The firm said it would use a portion of the funds to invest in mobile and wireless technologies. Indeed, Prism said it invested an undisclosed amount in startup Everypoint Inc., which sells real-time content for mobile phones.
