CHANDLER, Ariz.-Satellite communications provider World Communication Center said it has expanded its government division.
The company hired John D. Kilian and Robert C. Den Hartog as part of the expansion. Kilian most recently was area manager for the Procurement Technical Assistance Center of Minnesota Project Innovation, where he worked on a project to secure federal, state and local government business. Prior to that he worked for Northeast Computer Supply Inc. on strategic development, standardization and management of government procurement processes.
Den Hartog previously was director of sales and marketing as well as director of business development for R.C. Smith Co. in Minnesota.
The company’s government initiatives include a five-year contract with the U.S. General Services Administration as an approved supplier of Iridium satellite phones and accessories to all federal government agencies. The company also has worked with the U.S. government in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.
