SAN DIEGO-Doug Hutcheson, Leap Wireless International Inc.’s president and chief executive officer, approved $10,000 bonuses each for Glenn Umetsu, the carrier’s executive vice president and chief technical officer, and Leonard Stephens, senior vice president of human resources. According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the bonuses were paid Aug. 4 and were part of Leap’s 2005 cash bonus plan.
Umetsu, who has been with Leap since 2000, was appointed to his current position earlier this year, and previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Stephens has been with Leap since the company was founded in 1998 and previously served in a similar position at Qualcomm Inc.
