SEATTLE-Mobile gaming company Reaxion Corp. announced it scored $2 million in its first round of funding from i-Hatch Ventures. Reaxion said it will use the money to round out its products for next year and to expand its distribution internationally.
“Reaxion is on track to quadruple our game catalog in the next year,” said Misha Lyalin, president and chief executive officer for Reaxion. “Our partnership with i-Hatch will allow us to expand our self-publishing efforts, while strengthening our already solid relationships with the mobile operators and suppliers. We are extremely excited about working with i-Hatch because of their impressive track-record of building high-potential startups into mature and lucrative businesses.”
With the success of Jamdat Mobile Inc. and other wireless gaming companies, the space has seen a notable amount of venture capital and merger-and-acquisition activity.
