Axesstel issues guidance warning

SAN DIEGO-Axesstel Inc., which designs fixed wireless voice and broadband data products, said it does not expect to meet its previous revenue guidance for the third quarter.

The company based the announcement on revenues received to date.

Axesstel further said it does not expect to show an operating profit for the quarter.

The company said revenue shortfalls are due to delays in some shipments of two new products caused by adverse weather conditions in India this summer. Some sales that were projected to close in the third quarter now are expected to close in the fourth quarter, it said.

Axesstel maintained its full-year revenue guidance of $135 million to $145 million, but said it no longer is comfortable guiding toward the high end of that range.
