DENVER-Roland Kleinfeld, who describes himself as a jeweler and entrepreneur, announced he is selling a solar-powered mobile-phone charger on his Web site, www.ultimatesolarcharger.com.
“How ridiculous in this day and age to have a cell-phone battery die on you with all the technology the world possesses,” Kleinfeld said.
The Ultimate Solar Charger fully recharges a cell-phone battery and can hold the charge for up to 14 days. Users also can talk on the cell phone while it is charging. The charger supports a variety of phone models from the likes of Nokia Corp., Motorola Inc. and others.
The charger sells for $30.
