SAN FRANCISCO.-Bluefire Security Technologies Inc., which develops security solutions for mobile handheld devices, announced availability of its Bluefire Mobile Security VPN Software Development Kit.
The company said the product release is in response to growing demand from enterprises and software integrators for an efficient way to combine secure remote access with mobile applications.
The SDK is compatible with both Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0 operating systems and includes an API to support VPN control and status retrieval and notification operations. The kit includes, the development kid, a VPN driver and an optional VPN client application.
The company also announced three new employees. Brendan Coyle has been named virtual private network technical leader; Don LeBlanc has been named a senior quality assurance engineer; and Scott Swift has been named to a sales support position in the western United States.
