OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Sprint Nextel Corp. reported a deal with MTV Networks to supply MTV Networks’ brands and programming direct to Sprint Nextel customers using CDMA-based multimedia phones. The programming will include content from MTV Networks’ stable of cable networks, including Comedy Central, VH1, CMT, Nickelodeon and The N, and is scheduled to be available beginning next month.
In addition to the premium subscription channels, Sprint Nextel said it also expects to offer downloadable content from each network, including Music Tones that feature celebrity personalities and exclusive music content, news updates, alerts and screen savers.
