SAN DIEGO-The Open Mobile Alliance made publicly available six new Enabler Releases that address both existing mobile services and future offerings.
The releases include:
- OMA Multimedia Messaging Service Version 1.3, which enhances the existing MMS specifications to include support for new multimedia objects and content protection;
- OMA Standard Transcoding Interface Version 1.0, which resolves integration and testing problems associated with deploying multimedia services across mobile devices;
- OMA Browsing Version 2.3, which improves current Internet browsing capabilities on mobile devices by adding new user interface tools and support for media formats and codecs;
- OMA Mobile Location Service Version 1.0 and OMA Secure User Plane Location Version 1.0, which are new releases that address location-based services; and
- OMA On Board Key Generator Version 1.0, which is a new security-related OMA specification for applying public key infrastructure methods to set up secure client and server mobile sessions.
