ST. LOUIS, Miss.-Centurion Wireless Technologies, a unit of Laird Technologies, announced it crossed the 1 billion threshold. The company said it has shipped more than 1 billion mobile-phone antennas through the likes of Nokia Corp., Motorola Inc. and others.
“Shipping over 1 billion handset antennas in less than 15 years is a significant achievement, and Centurion’s commitment to providing solutions for customers’ requirements through all stages of the purchasing process has made this a reality,” said Magnus Tannfelt, vice president and general manager of Centurion’s antenna business.
Tannfelt said Centurion has shipped all manner of antennas, both internal and external. He said the company increasingly is getting into the design of antennas as handset makers focus on their marketing and distribution activities.
