PISCATAWAY, N.J.-Telecommunications software and services provider Telcordia Technologies Inc. reported that Hawaiian Telecom has selected its Service Delivery suite of products and professional services to complete the company’s transition to an independent network in six months.
The solution includes Telcordia’s Converged Application Server, which Telcordia claims supports a wide range of customizable services for traditional, Internet Protocol and converged networks across all domains.
Financial terms of the deal were not released
Hawaiian Telecom formerly was known as Verizon Hawaii before being acquired by the Carlyle Group in May. Hawaiian Telecom has since announced plans to add wireless services to its current landline and directory services using a mobile virtual network operator model.
