NEW YORK-Zogo launched a dating service that makes use of wireless phones.
The service allows any Web-enabled cell phone to connect instantly and anonymously to other members of the service in real time, said Zogo. The “Prowling” feature allows users to find other singles in their vicinity, allowing them to find each other when they are away from their desktop computer.
“This is, without a doubt, the next link in the evolutionary chain of dating,” said Jonathan Ressler, chief executive officer of Zogo. “People are bored with texting, and the lag time involved with Internet dating. Now there’s no more waiting. You can go out, have a real live conversation from anywhere on your cell, and hook up within minutes.”
