OREM, Utah-Q Comm International Inc. announced it’s teaming with Movida Communications to offer prepaid airtime cards, pins and handsets to Hispanic customers.
Q Comm provides solutions for prepaid transaction processing and electronic point-of-sale distribution, and Movida Communications is a mobile virtual network operator that targets the Hispanic marketplace using Sprint Nextel Corp.’s CDMA network.
“Today’s announcement is another example of our success in enhancing our prepaid offering,” said Michael Keough, president and chief executive of Q Comm. “We bring our merchant network the best prepaid products on the market today, and our partnership with Movida allows our retail partners to benefit from the increasing need for prepaid airtime minutes specifically for the Hispanic market.”
“We chose to partner with Q Comm because they provide us fast access to an established national merchant network, which targets complementary consumer demographics,” said Anthony Montoya, president of Movida. “Movida’s focus on the Hispanic market is evident in our competitive airtime rates to Latin America and our culturally relevant content.”
