LOS ANGELES-Sennari Entertainment inked a deal with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to create prize-based games based on the Star Trek franchise.
The publisher of wireless loyalty applications said it plans to develop and market both wireless and online versions of games from the TV show and movie series under its PrizePlay line. Like other Sennari offerings, the pay-for-play games will reward game winners with virtual tokens that can be redeemed for prizes; tokens are also given to players who play repeatedly and recommend the titles to other players.
NVCP manages licensing for Paramount Pictures and Viacom Inc. properties. The Star Trek games, which will include trivia offerings, are scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2006.
