MMA honors mobile marketing initiatives

LOS ANGELES-Fox Mobile Entertainment, MobileLime and Juice Wireless Inc. were among the winners in the Mobile Marketing Association’s first annual awards program.

The industry association named winners in six categories including best use of mobile marketing and most innovative campaign. Aerodeon Turkey claimed best use of mobile marketing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Ki-Bi Mobile Technologies Ltd. won for most innovative in the same markets.

Juice won best mobile marketing in North America, MobileLime won for most innovative in North America, and Fox won an award for creativity for developing mobisodes of its “24” series.

“We did a call for nominations (earlier this year), and we got an incredible number from all over,” said Laura Marriott, executive director for the MMA. “We actually segmented the awards program into more categories to reflect the number of entries we were getting.”
