SAN FRANCISCO-Mobile game-maker Mforma Group Inc. unveiled its latest licensed title from Marvel, launching Ultimate Spider-Man in the United States and Europe.
The two-dimensional platform game is based on Activision Inc.’s console game of the same name, and allows gamers to play as the web-slinging superhero or his archenemy Venom. Mforma said the title soon will be available to users in Asia.
“As Spider-Man, players get to wrap up criminals in webbing, rescue civilians and fight the nefarious villain, Venom,” said Brian Selzer, Mforma’s senior director for Marvel Mobile. “As Venom, players can indulge their dark side and catch civilians with tentacles, feed on them for strength, and try to hunt down Spider-Man before he can save the city.”
