LONDON-Mobile game-maker I-play said it plans to publish a second wireless version of the PC classic Boulder Dash.
I-Play unveiled an exclusive global deal with First Star Software, which launched the action-puzzle game for home computers in 1984. Under terms of the pact, I-play said it will release Boulder Dash-M.E. 2 “on six continents” in the spring of 2006.
The U.K.-based publisher gained substantial traction with the initial mobile version of the game more than two years ago.
“Digital Bridges, as (I-play) was known back then, was one of our first distributors when we initially released Boulder Dash-M.E.,” said Richard Spitalny, president of First Star Software Inc. “Now, several hundreds of thousands of units later, we’re looking forward to partnering with them exclusively as we prepare to launch Boulder Dash-M.E. 2 throughout the world.”
