NEW YORK-Verizon Communications Inc. said it has completed all the state, federal and international approvals needed to close on its acquisition of MCI.
The company recently received its final necessary approval from the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission. Verizon expects the MCI deal to be completed in early January, as planned.
Verizon has been seeking regulatory approvals for the MCI acquisition since the deal was announced in February. The company has received approvals from 22 states and the District of Columbia.
