HOUSTON-Texas-based Internet service provider Internet America Inc. has agreed to buy the operating assets of 2Fast Communications Inc., a wireless ISP.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Internet America said it expects to close the deal within 30 days.
According to Internet America, the company wants to offer high-speed wireless Internet access to underserved Texas markets. 2Fast chiefly serves suburban markets around San Antonio, where it is based.
Last July, Internet America acquired TopGun Telecom, a wireless ISP that provided access to customers southeast of San Antonio.
