DUBLIN, Ireland-Mobile messaging infrastructure provider Anam Mobile Ltd. scooped up $14 million in its second round of financing. The Irish company said it plans to use the cash to advance the rollout of its Smart Services Interceptor Framework for mobile operators globally.
Anam said FF&P Private Equity Ltd., a subsidiary of Fleming Family and Partners, led the round. Motorola Ventures and Mayfair Venture Capital also participated.
“Our funding to date has been focused on building the core Messaging Architecture to support Smart Services,” said Gerry Mc Kenna, chief executive officer of Anam. “This technology has been deployed by twelve operators in 2005. We are seeing a strong demand for new person-to-person value add messaging services globally and our new funding will be focused on broadening the portfolio of Smart Services that mobile operators can launch.”
