ORLANDO, Fla.—Telzuit Medical Technologies Inc. today signed an agreement with Cingular Wireless L.L.C. that will allow Telzuit’s heart-monitoring Bio-Patch PDA to transfer data over the carrier’s network from individual customers to Telzuit’s data center in Orlando, Fla. The Bio-Patch system has yet to launch, though the company announced its first pre-sales—to 500 physicians in the Orlando area—in late March. According to the company, it expects to have the devices delivered and operating May 1.
The patented, FDA-approved Bio-Patch Wireless Heart Monitoring System is a 12-lead, wireless monitor that collects data from a patient on a modified personal digital assistant, which then wirelessly communicates that heart data to Telzuit’s center. Telzuit also signed an agreement with Asurion Managed Wireless for device support, also announced today.
Telzuit was founded in 2000 and seeks to supply the market for wireless medical monitoring devices and services, supported by its own secure Intranet. It has struggled with capital funding since its inception, according to its 10-K filing at the end of March.
