Juice garners $4M in funding, a spot on Kyocera phones

NEW YORK—Juice Wireless Inc. said it has snared $4 million in a funding round led by 21Ventures L.L.C.

The New York-based startup said it will use the capital to market JuiceCaster, a cross-platform application that allows users to generate, publish and access content on computers and mobile phones. Juice Wireless, which also develops mobile marketing software, said in a separate announcement that it has partnered with Kyocera Wireless Corp. to embed JuiceCaster on CDMA phones.

A 3.0 version of JuiceCaster, expected this summer, will extend the application to iPods, set-top boxes, PSPs, MP3 players and IP-enabled digital devices including cameras and camcorders.
