BASKING RIDGE, N.J.—U.S. phone shoppers have three more devices to pick from as Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Motorola Inc. and Nokia Corp. all released new gadgets into the market. All of the devices support digital music.
First up, Verizon Wireless released two new phone models that work with its Vcast Music service.

The company is offering Samsung’s SCH-a930, which includes dual stereo speakers, removable memory card slot and dedicated music playback keys to complement Verizon’s Vcast Music service. The phone also includes a 1.3 megapixel digital camera and camcorder and supports Bluetooth profiles for headsets, dial-up networking, serial ports and hands-free accessories.
The phone is $100 after a $50 rebate with a new two-year contract.
Verizon also began offering Motorola’s Razr V3m, which also has a removable memory card slot. The handset includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, video capability, Bluetooth support for certain profiles, speech recognition and support for Verizon’s VZ Navigator mapping and navigation tool.
The handset is available for $150 after $50 rebate with a two-year contract.
In an unrelated announcement, Nokia Corp. launched its N91 multimedia phone in the United States without carrier support. The Finnish handset maker will sell the phone for $600 online.
The phone is designed specifically for music entertainment (supported digital formats include MP3, M4A, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+), with a four-gigabyte hard drive, stereo headset and PC synchronization with Windows Media Player. Connectivity options include GSM/EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB and W-CDMA for international roaming. The N91 also offers a two-megapixel camera, push e-mail support, Internet browser and Nokia PCSuite inbox for PC synchronization.
