DALLAS—Small businesses are becoming increasingly mobile, according to a survey conducted by the American Small Business Travelers Alliance.
About 80 percent of respondents to the survey said they rely on a wireless device to stay connected to their business, and two-thirds said wireless technology has significantly improved their ability to communicate. A little more than half of respondents said they use a wireless laptop to check e-mail.
In addition, nearly 75 percent of small business owners and employees said using wireless technology is easier than it was one year ago.
