BELLEVUE, Wash.—Sofitel hotels will be joining the ranks of businesses that offer T-Mobile USA Inc.’s Wi-Fi hotspots.
Softitel, a brand of European Accor hotels, has 10 locations in the U.S. and 200 properties worldwide. T-Mobile USA will provide all of the U.S. hotels with Wi-Fi in common areas and guest rooms. The Sofitel Chicago Water Tower Hotel is the first of those to provide access to guests, and, according to T-Mobile USA, the location is the carrier’s 7,000th hotspot.
International travelers who use a participating carrier’s Wireless Broadband Alliance Wi-Fi subscription will have access to the T-Mobile service at all 10 of the U.S. Sofitel properties. Carriers participating in the alliance include Telecom Italia, NTT Communications of Japan, Korea Telecom, StarHub of Singapore, Maxis of Malaysia and T-Mobile International’s operations in Austria, Holland, Germany and the United Kingdom.
